Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TripVitae ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The App is operated by SevenKoncepts Ltd ("we", "our", "us"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

TripVitae is a mobile travel planning application that allows users to create trip itineraries, import bookings from email, track budgets, manage packing lists, discover photo spots, and generate trip summaries. The App is available on iOS.

3. Account Registration

To use TripVitae, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password, or by signing in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.

4. Gmail Integration

TripVitae offers optional Gmail integration to scan for travel booking confirmations. By connecting your Gmail account, you grant us read-only access to your email messages for the sole purpose of extracting travel booking data.

Our use of Gmail API data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We only access Gmail data when you explicitly initiate a sync
• We only read emails that match travel booking patterns
• We do not store email content — only extracted booking metadata
• We do not use Gmail data for advertising or any purpose unrelated to providing the Service
• We do not share Gmail data with third parties except as required for booking extraction (OpenAI API)

You can disconnect Gmail at any time from the app settings. Disconnecting immediately revokes our access to your Gmail account.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within TripVitae, including trip details, notes, itineraries, and traveler information. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

6. AI-Generated Content

TripVitae uses artificial intelligence (powered by OpenAI) for features including packing suggestions, trip summaries (Trip DNA), souvenir image generation, and booking data extraction. AI-generated content is provided as-is and may contain inaccuracies. You should verify AI-generated information before relying on it.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated means to access the Service (bots, scrapers)
• Share your account credentials with others

8. Pricing and Payments

TripVitae is currently free to download and use. We reserve the right to introduce premium features or subscription plans in the future. Any paid features will be clearly communicated before purchase, and existing free functionality will not be removed.

9. Limitation of Liability

TripVitae is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed bookings, incorrect data extraction, or data loss.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted from our servers.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
